Luncheon and Conversation with Former EAC Chair Thomas Hicks
About this event
An exclusive invite for Ohio Voter Rights Coalition Members for Luncheon and Conversation with Former Election Assistance Commission Chair Thomas Hicks, hosted by the Promise of Democracy Foundation and OVRC.
Hosted by the Promise of Democracy Foundation, NAACP Cleveland Branch, Northeast Ohio Voter Advocates, and OVRC. Hicks served on the EAC Commission January 2015 - July 2026.
Ohio is only one of 3 states where former Chairman Hicks was not able to visit during his 14 years of service on the commission. This conversation is part of a series of events in Ohio are designed for the former Commissioner (in his capacity as a private citizen) to discuss some of the many challenges facing election administration heading into the final days of the midterm elections. We also hope to share some best practices with advocates about successful election protection strategies taking place in other states.
