The Shaker Historical Society's mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of Shaker Heights to inspire curiosity and foster engagement between diverse communities and the people, events, and stories that shape local history. In 2025, a 0.3-mill, voters approved a five-year property tax levy for the Shaker Historical Museum to fund museum operations, programming, and facility upgrades. Notice of regular meetings are posted on the Society's website. Agendas, minutes, and supporting materials are available to the public upon request. The public is welcome to attend and observe meetings, but public comment or discussion is not a standard agenda item.
